Oaked Bitter

A new experiment.

Steep (30 minutes @ 160F)

  • 1# British Crystal (about 80L)
  • 1/4# Victory
  • 1/4# Special B
  • 1/4# Biscuit


Boil (60 minutes)

  • 6# light malt extract syrup


Bittering hops (60 minutes)

  • 1 oz. Columbus
  • 1 oz. Galena


Boil (15 minutes)

  • 2 tbs Irish Moss


Flavoring hops (1 minute)

  • 2 oz Kent Golding


Boil (0 minutes)

  • 1# dark brown sugar


Fermenation

  • White Labs English Ale yeast
  • 4 oz. Lightly Toasted Oak chips
